Timothy D. Belt, Esquire
Managing Partner / Founding Attorney
Attorney Timothy D. Belt is the son of Reverend James and Patricia Belt, and he has resided primarily in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area since 1985. Timothy graduated from Lackawanna Trail High School and is a 1996 summa cum laude graduate of the University of the Ozarks. Timothy graduated from Villanova University School of Law in 1999 and shortly thereafter began practicing law in the Wilkes-Barre area.
Timothy’s practice focuses on workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation. Timothy is a frequent speaker with regard to workers’ compensation issues to business and union organizations.
Timothy is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association, and Wyoming/Sullivan County Bar Association.
Timothy is also certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Read More
Amanda Pizano
Office Manager
Amanda has been a member of our legal team since 2014. Amanda would be more than happy to assist you with properly routing your telephone call or scheduling an appointment for you with one of our attorneys. Her pleasant smile is a constant feature during the day to day activities at the firm and her warm giggles and caring personality help our clients feel at ease throughout their case process.
Amanda grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania and graduated from Dallas High School which allowed her to be in tune with the needs of our community. She is currently furthering her education in Business Law at the Luzerne County Community College. Amanda enjoys playing a vast array of sports and attending country music concerts in our area.
Sarah Jewell
Bookkeeper
Sarah originally joined Belt Law Firm, P.C., as a bookkeeping assistant back in 2013. She has been the main bookkeeper since 2016 and in recent years, she is usually the person that will answer and route calls to the right party. Sarah is a long time member of the local community and enjoys singing, cooking, and attending film festivals.
Maria Estrella
Bilingual Legal Secretary
Maria joined The Belt Law Firm, PC in 2023 as a bilingual legal secretary. She is fluent in English and Spanish. Maria studied criminal justice at Luzerne County Community College. Maria is in tune with our Hispanic clientele in that she has grown up with family members that are in need of linguistic assistance daily and can sympathize with the daily struggle from communication barriers. On the weekends, Maria enjoys assisting her family with handy-man projects and general construction.
Kristina McConnell
Legal Secretary
Kristina joined The Belt Law Firm, PC in 2023. She is an alumna of Penn State University- Schuylkill, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Kristina is based out of our Kingston office, but she is also actively involved with our Hazleton office where she assists Attorney Kurt Kwak. Kristina enjoys reading books, coaching softball players, and spending time with her family.
